Furniture Design

To the left shows one of my latest constructions, modular public lounge seating. The design intent was to accommodate users within a public area, my example being a first class airport lounge. Its form takes after that of a kissing chair with the back to back seating. Lighting situated under the seat segregation was used to bring the design alive, drawing people in. This was created as part of a modular design where each of these units joined to form a network, branching out. More of the design work for this project can be found on the sketch page.

Design related hobbies

Since I was young I have always had a passion for renovation. I specialize in BMX's and Fixie's but I have restored an old P-700 Hotta time trial bike. Below are just a few of my restorations/creations. Once complete I normally sell them on.

Another one of my pieces, the Chaise Lounge, achieved the Millfield School Product Design Award. The idea behind this piece was to combine old with new. With its cylindrical back rest and modern lay out, I feel I achieved the desired style I was going for. The design is topped off with the luxurious brown faux suede, nickle pins and a deep buttoning technique used to give the design a more traditional feel (the entire upholstry was completed by myself). Solidworks & Creo 3.0

This area shows some renderings of CAD projects I have recently completed. Displayed is an ergonomically designed ticket machine and my latest project - a reverse engineered surface modelled steam iron.

I am a Solidworks Certified professional and capable of using Creo Parametric.

Design Manufacture

The brief was to design and manufacture an injection moulded Childrens Mouse which clearly portrays a brand. I chose to create my Mouse design for Cartoon Network's Ben 10.

I have also included artifacts I have created using the 3 key workshop skills Fabrication, Machining and Model making.
